Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. To see carrier rates, the quote tool needs only six pieces of information: your biological sex, date of birth, general health status, tobacco use, the coverage amount you want, and the term length. Those details are sufficient to generate quotes from the carriers. Your name, full address, and detailed medical history are requested only if you decide to proceed with an application.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The prices shown are the exact rates each carrier has quoted for the health classification you selected, provided for information purposes. When you apply, the carrier's underwriting process will confirm whether you qualify for that rate class or if it should be adjusted—sometimes in your favor, sometimes not. What you see here is not a binding offer, a premium guarantee, or a promise of approval at that price.

What happens when I click Apply?

When you select a carrier and click Apply, you enter your name and then move directly into a secure application that is prefilled with the answers you provided. The application platform is operated by the carriers, and you are free to pause and resume at any time. You sign electronically within the platform. The entire process is managed by Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed insurance agency (License 0B75129).

Will I need a medical exam?

Whether an exam is required depends on the specific carrier, the coverage amount you are applying for, and the answers you provided. Many carriers now use rapid underwriting and can make an immediate decision without a medical exam if you meet their guidelines. Each quote displayed on this site clearly indicates whether a paramedical exam is required, possibly required, or not required for that specific product.

Is a longer term better?

Choose a term based on when the financial harm would end: when your mortgage will be paid off, when your children will be independent, when a business loan is due, or when you plan to retire. A longer term costs more each month but freezes your rate for all those years. The quote tool lets you compare all five standard options—10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years—at the same time so you can see the difference.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool does not ask for contact information, we do not sell or share any visitor data with third parties, and our measurement system uses no cookies or persistent identifiers. Visit the privacy page to see the complete list of what information is collected and which services have access to it.
